Blaine joined Altius with a wealth of experience from his extensive career as a professional athlete, notably as the captain of the United States National Rugby Team. During his professional rugby tenure, Blaine co-founded and led the United States Rugby Players Association, overseeing the establishment of commercial enterprises such as the group licensing program and forging strategic partnerships with organizations such as the NFLPA, OneTeam Partners, Opendorse, and Amazon Merch. Simultaneously, he represented international rugby players globally as a member of the Global Player Council.
In his most recent role as a Senior Associate management consultant in the PwC Deals Practice, Blaine honed his business strategy and management skills across the deal continuum, specializing in M&A strategy, due diligence, and integration. Previously, Blaine served as a contributing broadcast analyst for NBC Sports and advised various sports-focused startups and technology firms.
Blaine holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of California, Berkeley, where he was a two-time national champion and four-time All-American while competing for the Varsity Rugby team. He recently completed a Masters in Business Administration from the University of Oxford.
