Altius Sports Closes Year with 6 Multiyear Extensions as Schools Prepare for Future Changes

CHICAGO, December 23, 2021 – Altius Sports Partners (“Altius”) has announced multiyear contract extensions with the athletic departments of the University of Tennessee, the University of Georgia and the University of Southern California. The new agreements follow the firm’s earlier announcements of long-term extensions with the University of Texas, Louisiana State University and the University of South Carolina.

Altius, an official partner of leading collegiate athletic departments and sports properties, has specialized in developing and managing programs around important issues related to Name, Image and Likeness (“NIL”) as well as providing partners with strategic guidance, consultation and holistic educational support.

These six extensions reflect the changing nature of college athletics, as administrators are thinking beyond NIL – and preparing for long-term issues and opportunities. Through its unparalleled industry expertise, wide range of services and intellectual resources, Altius’ comprehensive approach is designed to help all college stakeholders navigate the impending issues and opportunities. As part of its multiyear agreements, Altius will continue to provide ongoing management and consultation as it relates to NIL and the evolving collegiate landscape.

Topics such as pending legislation, group licensing, commercialization, donor engagement, branding and IP issues, and corporate relationships will continue to be essential points of emphasis with each partner school. Additionally, building on already established platforms and discussions surrounding athlete career development, money management, and social justice along with recruiting, women’ sports and the interplay of Title IX, will remain a key focus as well.
